Scripture foundation

Mark 11:22-25 BSB

“Have faith in God,” Jesus said to them. “Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand to pray, if you hold anything against another, forgive it, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your trespasses as well.”

1 John 5:14-15 BSB

And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.

Romans 4:16-21 BSB

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the presence of God, in whom he believed, the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being what does not yet exist. Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he acknowledged the decrepitness of his body (since he was about a hundred years old) and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb. Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised.

Proclamation

I have faith in God. I bring definite requests to Him and refuse the demand to control His manner or timing.

I ask according to His will and trust that He hears me. I hold fast because He who promised is faithful.

When I stand praying, I forgive. I will not use faith language to hide bitterness, manipulation, or disobedience.

I receive peace while I wait, obey what I already know, and remain teachable before Scripture, counsel, and truth.

Faithful next actions

  • Write the request specifically.
  • Name anyone you must forgive or approach.
  • Identify the next act of obedience while waiting.

Use with wisdom

  • Forgiveness does not erase consequences, reporting, restitution, boundaries, or wise separation from continuing harm.
