Scripture foundation

Proverbs 4:20-24 BSB

My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to the whole body. Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life. Put away deception from your mouth; keep your lips from perverse speech.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 BSB

For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the flesh. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Philippians 4:6-9 BSB

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

2 Timothy 1:7 BSB

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Proclamation

I return my attention to God’s Word. Faith comes by hearing, and I choose to hear the truth again. The weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God. I cast down imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and I bring my thoughts into the obedience of Christ. The Lord keeps me in perfect peace as my mind is stayed on Him. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I have made the Most High my habitation. I refuse panic and reckless presumption; I abide under His care and follow His wisdom. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Jesus is Lord over this hour.

Faithful next actions

  • Relax your jaw and shoulders.
  • Name the fear without agreeing with it.
  • Read one promise aloud slowly.
  • Take one practical next step.

Use with wisdom

  • Use Scripture alongside responsible mental-health support, safety planning, and professional care when appropriate.
  • People are not the spiritual enemy. Do not use spiritual-warfare language to justify hatred, harassment, accusation, or unsafe behavior.
