Privacy-first measurement

Privacy & analytics.

Speak Scripture measures whether the library is useful without advertising cookies, accounts, persistent user profiles, or storage of prayer and search text.

What the site measures

We count page visits, searches, filters, copy and share actions, downloads, internal and outbound navigation, reading depth, thirty-second engagement, PWA installation, browser performance measurements, and anonymous error counts.

What the site does not store

  • No advertising cookies or cross-site profile.
  • No name, email address, account identifier, prayer text, copied text, or raw search query.
  • No raw IP address or raw user-agent string in the application event.
  • No full referrer URL or query string.

Campaign attribution

When present, only utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign are retained for the current browser session. Search terms and UTM term/content values are not stored.

Your controls

Checking this browser’s privacy setting…

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable the collector automatically. The browser-local choice applies only to this browser. Core site functionality never requires tracking.

Public field contract

The exact event and field contract is published at /data/tracking-schema.json. It contains no secret, token, personal identifier, or analytics data.

Operational boundary

First-party events are written to a bounded Cloudflare Analytics Engine dataset. Cloudflare Web Analytics is also enabled through zone-level automatic installation for aggregate page-view and performance reporting. Its beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and Cloudflare discards the request IP before core storage. The controls above govern the optional first-party engagement events; Cloudflare Web Analytics is managed separately at the zone.
