Use this when

Use for church, city, civic, or national intercession and for evaluating claims about principalities over places.

Practice

Confess the church's own sins, pray for leaders and neighbors, proclaim the gospel, practice justice and mercy, and resist evil without demonizing human groups.

Boundary

Daniel 10 does not authorize confident maps of territorial spirits. Avoid naming people, religions, ethnicities, political parties, or neighborhoods as demons.

Declaration / Proclamation / Confession

I pray for leaders, neighbors, churches, and communities, asking God for peace, justice, repentance, and gospel witness. I will not demonize people or invent confident maps of unseen powers beyond what Scripture reveals.

¹First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone— ²for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. ³This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, ⁴who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Speak it

I offer petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for everyone, for rulers and all in authority. God my Savior wants everyone to be saved, and this prayer is good and pleasing to Him.

¹⁸Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints. ¹⁹Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.

Speak it

I pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer. I stay alert and persevere in praying for all God's people, and I ask for boldness to speak the gospel.

¹²“Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. ¹³However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. ¹⁴Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision concerns those days.”

Speak it

From the first day I set my heart to understand and humble myself before my God, my words are heard. Like Daniel, I keep praying through the delay. The answer comes in response to my prayers.

¹³If I close the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people, ¹⁴and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Speak it

I am called by His name, so I humble myself and pray, seek His face, and turn from my wicked ways. Then He hears from heaven, forgives sin, and heals the land. I pray this for my community.

⁷Seek the prosperity of the city to which I have sent you as exiles. Pray to the LORD on its behalf, for if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

¹³Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to the king as the supreme authority, ¹⁴or to governors as those sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right. ¹⁵For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorance of foolish men. ¹⁶Live in freedom, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. ¹⁷Treat everyone with high regard: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.
