⁸“Give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations. ⁹Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders. ¹⁰Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. ¹¹Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. ¹²Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced, ²³Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation day after day. ²⁴Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. ²⁵For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. ²⁶For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens. ²⁷Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy fill His dwelling. ²⁸Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. ²⁹Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; ³⁰tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. ³¹Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice. Let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’ ³²Let the sea resound, and all that fills it; let the fields exult, and all that is in them. ³³Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth. ³⁴Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever. ³⁵Then cry out: ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.’ ³⁶Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.” Then all the people said, “Amen!” and “Praise the LORD!”

¹Of David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, so that the king drove him away. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. ²My soul boasts in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice. ³Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together. ⁴I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. ⁵Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed. ⁶This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles. ⁷The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them. ⁸Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

¹A Psalm of thanksgiving. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth. ²Serve the LORD with gladness; come into His presence with joyful songs. ³Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. ⁴Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name. ⁵For the LORD is good, and His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.

¹Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever. ²Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy ³and gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. ⁴Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no path to a city in which to dwell. ⁵They were hungry and thirsty; their soul fainted within them. ⁶Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. ⁷He led them on a straight path to reach a city where they could live. ⁸Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men. ⁹For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. ²¹Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men. ²²Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing. ³¹Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men. ³²Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people and praise Him in the council of the elders.

His loving devotion endures forever. ²³He remembered us in our low estate His loving devotion endures forever. ²⁴and freed us from our enemies. His loving devotion endures forever. ²⁵He gives food to every creature. His loving devotion endures forever. ²⁶Give thanks to the God of heaven! His loving devotion endures forever.

¹⁶Rejoice at all times. ¹⁷Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy ¹³before the LORD, for He is coming—He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.

¹Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name. ²Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds— ³He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, ⁴who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, ⁵who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

¹A Psalm of praise. Of David. I will exalt You, my God and King; I will bless Your name forever and ever. ²Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. ³Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; His greatness is unsearchable. ⁴One generation will commend Your works to the next, and will proclaim Your mighty acts— ⁵the glorious splendor of Your majesty. And I will meditate on Your wondrous works. ⁶They will proclaim the power of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness. ⁷They will extol the fame of Your abundant goodness and sing joyfully of Your righteousness. ⁸The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving devotion. ⁹The LORD is good to all; His compassion rests on all He has made. ¹⁰All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You.

¹Hallelujah! Praise God in His sanctuary. Praise Him in His mighty heavens. ²Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him for His excellent greatness. ³Praise Him with the sound of the horn; praise Him with the harp and lyre. ⁴Praise Him with tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flute. ⁵Praise Him with clashing cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals. ⁶Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Hallelujah!

¹⁰Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. ¹¹Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all. ¹²Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all. ¹³Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks, and we praise Your glorious name. ¹⁴But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.

I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will recount all Your wonders. ²I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. ¹¹Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion; proclaim His deeds among the nations.

¹For the choirmaster. A song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth! ²Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. ³Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds! So great is Your power that Your enemies cower before You. ⁴All the earth bows down to You; they sing praise to You; they sing praise to Your name.” Selah ¹⁶Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for me. ¹⁷I cried out to Him with my mouth and praised Him with my tongue. ¹⁸If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. ¹⁹But God has surely heard; He has attended to the sound of my prayer. ²⁰Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld from me His loving devotion!

Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonders; His right hand and holy arm have gained Him the victory. ²The LORD has proclaimed His salvation and revealed His righteousness to the nations. ³He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. ⁴Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth—let your cry ring out, and sing praises! ⁵Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, in melodious song with the harp. ⁶With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn shout for joy before the LORD, the King. ⁷Let the sea resound, and all that fills it, the world, and all who dwell in it. ⁸Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy ⁹before the LORD, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!

¹Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. ²Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. ³Splendid and majestic is His work; His righteousness endures forever. ⁴He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. ⁵He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. ⁶He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the inheritance of the nations. ⁷The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are trustworthy. ⁸They are upheld forever and ever, enacted in truth and uprightness. ⁹He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name. ¹⁰The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts gain rich understanding. His praise endures forever!

¹Hallelujah! Give praise, O servants of the LORD; praise the name of the LORD. ²Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forevermore. ³From where the sun rises to where it sets, the name of the LORD is praised. ⁴The LORD is exalted over all the nations, His glory above the heavens. ⁵Who is like the LORD our God, the One enthroned on high? ⁶He humbles Himself to behold the heavens and the earth. ⁷He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the dump ⁸to seat them with nobles, with the princes of His people. ⁹He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother to her children. Hallelujah!

¹I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice—my appeal for mercy. ²Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live. ¹²How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me? ¹³I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD. ¹⁴I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people. ¹⁷I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD. ¹⁸I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people, ¹⁹in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!

¹Praise the LORD, all you nations! Extol Him, all you peoples! ²For great is His loving devotion toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Hallelujah!

¹Of David. I give You thanks with all my heart; before the gods I sing Your praises. ²I bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness; You have exalted Your name and Your word above all else. ³On the day I called, You answered me; You emboldened me and strengthened my soul. ⁴All the kings of the earth will give You thanks, O LORD, when they hear the words of Your mouth. ⁵They will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.

¹Hallelujah! Praise the LORD, O my soul. ²I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. ⁵Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁶the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He remains faithful forever. ⁷He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free, ⁸the LORD opens the eyes of the blind, the LORD lifts those who are weighed down, the LORD loves the righteous. ⁹The LORD protects foreigners; He sustains the fatherless and the widow, but the ways of the wicked He frustrates. ¹⁰The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Hallelujah!

¹Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and lovely to praise Him! ²The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel. ³He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. ⁴He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name. ⁵Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit. ⁶The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground. ⁷Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God, ⁸who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the hills. ⁹He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call.

¹Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places. ²Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts. ³Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars. ⁴Praise Him, O highest heavens, and you waters above the skies. ⁵Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created. ⁶He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away. ⁷Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths, ⁸lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word, ⁹mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, ¹⁰wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds, ¹¹kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth, ¹²young men and maidens, old and young together. ¹³Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens. ¹⁴He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel, a people near to Him. Hallelujah!

¹Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise in the assembly of the godly. ²Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. ³Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. ⁴For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation. ⁵Let the saints exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.

⁴⁶Then Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, ⁴⁷and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! ⁴⁸For He has looked with favor on the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed. ⁴⁹For the Mighty One has done great things for me. Holy is His name. ⁵⁰His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. ⁵¹He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts. ⁵²He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble. ⁵³He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty. ⁵⁴He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful, ⁵⁵as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.”

⁸And each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” ⁹And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰the twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, and they worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying: ¹¹“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist and were created.”

⁹And they sang a new song: “Worthy are You to take the scroll and open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood You purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. ¹⁰You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign upon the earth.” ¹¹Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels encircling the throne, and the living creatures and the elders. And their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands. ¹²In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” ¹³And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever!” ¹⁴And the four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

¹After this I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude in heaven, shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ²For His judgments are true and just. He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the blood of His servants that was poured out by her hand.” ³And a second time they called out: “Hallelujah! Her smoke rises forever and ever.” ⁴And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying: “Amen, Hallelujah!” ⁵Then a voice came from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you who serve Him, and those who fear Him, small and great alike!” ⁶And I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude, like the rushing of many waters, and like a mighty rumbling of thunder, crying out: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. ⁷Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him the glory. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.

²⁰Early in the morning they got up and left for the Wilderness of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Hear me, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be upheld; believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.” ²¹Then Jehoshaphat consulted with the people and appointed those who would sing to the LORD and praise the splendor of His holiness. As they went out before the army, they were singing: “Give thanks to the LORD, for His loving devotion endures forever.” ²²The moment they began their shouts and praises, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were defeated.

I waited patiently for the LORD; He inclined to me and heard my cry. ²He lifted me up from the pit of despair, out of the miry clay; He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm. ³He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

¹⁴Sacrifice a thank offering to God, and fulfill your vows to the Most High. ¹⁵Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.” ²³He who sacrifices a thank offering honors Me, and to him who rightly orders his way, I will show the salvation of God.”

³⁰I will praise God’s name in song and exalt Him with thanksgiving. ³¹And this will please the LORD more than an ox, more than a bull with horns and hooves. ³²The humble will see and rejoice. You who seek God, let your hearts be revived!

¹A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, ²to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night ³with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre. ⁴For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. ⁵How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts!

¹Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation! ²Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song. ³For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods. ⁴In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. ⁵The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. ⁶O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. ⁷For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,

¹In that day you will say: “O LORD, I will praise You. Although You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You have comforted me. ²Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.” ³With joy you will draw water from the springs of salvation, ⁴and on that day you will say: “Give praise to the LORD; proclaim His name! Make His works known among the peoples; declare that His name is exalted. ⁵Sing to the LORD, for He has done glorious things. Let this be known in all the earth. ⁶Cry out and sing, O citizen of Zion, for great among you is the Holy One of Israel.”

⁷As my life was fading away, I remembered the LORD. My prayer went up to You, to Your holy temple. ⁸Those who cling to worthless idols forsake His loving devotion. ⁹But I, with the voice of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to You. I will fulfill what I have vowed. Salvation is from the LORD!” ¹⁰And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

¹¹While Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee. ¹²As He entered one of the villages, He was met by ten lepers. They stood at a distance ¹³and raised their voices, shouting, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” ¹⁴When Jesus saw them, He said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they were on their way, they were cleansed. ¹⁵When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice. ¹⁶He fell facedown at Jesus’ feet in thanksgiving to Him—and he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷“Were not all ten cleansed?” Jesus asked. “Where then are the other nine? ¹⁸Was no one found except this foreigner to return and give glory to God?” ¹⁹Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well!”

²²The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered that they be stripped and beaten with rods. ²³And after striking them with many blows, they threw them into prison and ordered the jailer to guard them securely. ²⁴On receiving this order, he placed them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. ²⁵About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. ²⁶Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. At once all the doors flew open and everyone’s chains came loose.

¹⁸Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. ¹⁹Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, ²⁰always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! ⁵Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near. ⁶Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ⁷And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

¹⁵Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful. ¹⁶Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. ¹⁷And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

¹⁵Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name. ¹⁶And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

¹Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted. The horse and rider He has thrown into the sea. ²The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him. ¹¹Who among the gods is like You, O LORD? Who is like You—majestic in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders? ¹²You stretched out Your right hand, and the earth swallowed them up. ¹³With loving devotion You will lead the people You have redeemed; with Your strength You will guide them to Your holy dwelling. ¹⁸The LORD will reign forever and ever!”

¹⁰When you eat and are satisfied, you are to bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has given you. ¹¹Be careful not to forget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commandments and ordinances and statutes, which I am giving you this day. ¹²Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses in which to dwell, ¹³and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all that you have is multiplied, ¹⁴then your heart will become proud, and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

¹At that time Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the LORD; my horn is exalted in the LORD. My mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, for I rejoice in Your salvation. ²There is no one holy like the LORD. Indeed, there is no one besides You! And there is no Rock like our God.

¹²all the Levitical singers—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps, and lyres, accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets. ¹³The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the LORD with one voice. They lifted up their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments, in praise to the LORD: “For He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.” And the temple, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud ¹⁴so that the priests could not stand there to minister because of the cloud. For the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

⁵Then the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah—said, “Stand up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting: Blessed be Your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. ⁶You alone are the LORD. You created the heavens, the highest heavens with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all things, and the host of heaven worships You.

²⁰Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped, ²¹saying: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” ²²In all this, Job did not sin or charge God with wrongdoing.

¹For the choirmaster. According to Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. ²From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained praise on account of Your adversaries, to silence the enemy and avenger. ³When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place— ⁴what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? ⁵You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor. ⁶You made him ruler of the works of Your hands; You have placed everything under his feet: ⁷all sheep and oxen, and even the beasts of the field, ⁸the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. ⁹O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!

²²I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; I will praise You in the assembly. ²³You who fear the LORD, praise Him! All descendants of Jacob, honor Him! All offspring of Israel, revere Him! ²⁴For He has not despised or detested the torment of the afflicted. He has not hidden His face from him, but has attended to his cry for help. ²⁵My praise for You resounds in the great assembly; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear You. ²⁶The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!

⁴Sing to the LORD, O you His saints, and praise His holy name. ⁵For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning. ¹¹You turned my mourning into dancing; You peeled off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, ¹²that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks forever.

¹Rejoice in the LORD, O righteous ones; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. ²Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings. ³Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. ⁴For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy. ⁵The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.

Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout unto God with a voice of triumph. ²How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth! ⁵God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD with the sound of the horn. ⁶Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises! ⁷For God is King of all the earth; sing to Him a psalm of praise.

⁷My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and make music. ⁸Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. ⁹I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing Your praises among the peoples. ¹⁰For Your loving devotion reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds. ¹¹Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.

³Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You. ⁴So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands. ⁵My soul is satisfied as with the richest of foods; with joyful lips my mouth will praise You.

¹Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty. ²He wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the heavens like a tent, ³laying the beams of His chambers in the waters above, making the clouds His chariot, walking on the wings of the wind. ⁴He makes the winds His messengers, flames of fire His servants. ³³I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. ³⁴May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the LORD. ³⁵May sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. ¹A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the captives of Zion, we were like dreamers. ²Then our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with shouts of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” ³The LORD has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.

¹O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You; I will praise Your name. For You have worked wonders—plans formed long ago—in perfect faithfulness. ⁹And in that day it will be said, “Surely this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

¹⁰Sing to the LORD a new song—His praise from the ends of the earth—you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who dwell in them. ¹¹Let the desert and its cities raise their voices; let the villages of Kedar cry aloud. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them cry out from the mountaintops. ¹²Let them give glory to the LORD and declare His praise in the islands.

¹⁰I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom wears a priestly headdress, as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ¹¹For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

¹⁰This is what the LORD says: In this place you say is a wasteland without man or beast, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted—inhabited by neither man nor beast—there will be heard again ¹¹the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those bringing thank offerings into the house of the LORD, saying: ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Hosts, for the LORD is good; His loving devotion endures forever.’ For I will restore the land from captivity as in former times, says the LORD.

²⁰and declared: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. ²¹He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. ²²He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. ²³To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, because You have given me wisdom and power. And now You have made known to me what we have requested, for You have made known to us the dream of the king.”

³⁴But at the end of those days I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity was restored to me. Then I praised the Most High, and I honored and glorified Him who lives forever: “For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom endures from generation to generation. ³⁵All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’” ³⁷Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all His works are true and all His ways are just. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

¹⁰Now when Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house, where the windows of his upper room opened toward Jerusalem, and three times a day he got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

¹⁷Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls, ¹⁸yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation! ¹⁹GOD the Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like those of a deer; He makes me walk upon the heights! For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments.

¹⁴Sing for joy, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem! ¹⁵The LORD has taken away your punishment; He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s King, the LORD, is among you; no longer will you fear any harm. ¹⁶On that day they will say to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands fall limp. ¹⁷The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”

²⁵At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. ²⁶Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.

¹⁴The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them. ¹⁵But the chief priests and scribes were indignant when they saw the wonders He performed and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” ¹⁶“Do You hear what these children are saying?” they asked. “Yes,” Jesus answered. “Have you never read: ‘From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained praise’?”

¹⁸As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him. ¹⁹But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.” ²⁰So the man went away and began to proclaim throughout the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And everyone was amazed.

⁶⁷Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: ⁶⁸“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and redeemed His people. ⁶⁹He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, ⁷⁰as He spoke through His holy prophets, those of ages past, ⁷¹salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, ⁷²to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, ⁷³the oath He swore to our father Abraham, to grant us ⁷⁴deliverance from hostile hands, that we may serve Him without fear, ⁷⁵in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our lives.

¹³And suddenly there appeared with the angel a great multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying: ¹⁴“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!” ²⁰The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, which was just as the angel had told them.

³⁷And as He approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to praise God joyfully in a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen: ³⁸“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” ³⁹But some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!” ⁴⁰“I tell you,” He answered, “if they remain silent, the very stones will cry out.”

²³But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. ²⁴God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

⁴¹So they took away the stone. Then Jesus lifted His eyes upward and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. ⁴²I knew that You always hear Me, but I say this for the benefit of the people standing here, so they may believe that You sent Me.”

⁴⁶With one accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courts and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart, ⁴⁷praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

³³O, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways! ³⁴“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” ³⁵“Who has first given to God, that God should repay him?” ³⁶For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.

⁵Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one another in Christ Jesus, ⁶so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹so that the Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to Your name.” ¹⁰Again, it says: “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.” ¹¹And again: “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and extol Him, all you peoples.”

⁵⁷But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

¹⁴But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

¹¹You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will produce thanksgiving to God. ¹²For this ministry of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanksgiving to God. ¹³Because of the proof this ministry provides, the saints will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all the others. ¹⁴And their prayers for you will express their affection for you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. ¹⁵Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. ⁴For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love ⁵He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, ⁶to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.

²⁰Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, ²¹to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

⁶Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, ⁷rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

¹²I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service. ¹³I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy. ¹⁴And the grace of our Lord overflowed to me, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. ¹⁶But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life. ¹⁷Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁴For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected, ⁵because it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

²⁸Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. ²⁹“For our God is a consuming fire.”

¹³Is any one of you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises.

⁹But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. ¹⁰Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

²⁴Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished in His glorious presence, with great joy— ²⁵to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen.

⁹After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. ¹⁰And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” ¹¹And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God, ¹²saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

²¹For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.
