Whether business is abundant or lean, strengthen me through Christ. Direct my next decision and let my work become an expression of stewardship, service, and worship.
2The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
11I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. 12I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. In any and every situation I have learned the secret of being filled and being hungry, of having plenty and having need. 13I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. Whether filled or hungry, in plenty or in need, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
22Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. 23For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, 24and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
I am a doer of the word and not a hearer only; I refuse to deceive myself. I look intently into the perfect law of freedom and keep looking, not forgetting but doing, and I am blessed in what I do.
1Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but an accurate weight is His delight.
I deal honestly in every transaction. Accurate weights and true dealings delight the Lord, and I will not cheat anyone.
3Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.
I commit my work to the Lord, and my plans will be established.
23Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men, 24because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Whatever I do, I work at it with my whole being, as for the Lord and not for men. I will receive an inheritance from the Lord as my reward, for it is the Lord Christ I am serving.
5Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
When I lack wisdom, I ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault. It will be given to me.
