Philippians 4:6-9 BSB

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Proclamation

Father, You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I humble myself under Your mighty hand and cast every care upon You because You care for me.

I name before You the thoughts that frighten me, the possibilities I cannot control, the reports I do not understand, and the bodily sensations that trigger alarm. I refuse to let fear become my master. You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

In Jesus’ name, I take captive thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. I reject catastrophic imagination, hopeless prediction, self-accusation, and obsessive rehearsal. I do not suppress responsible concern; I bring it under the obedience of Christ and seek wisdom.

Keep me in perfect peace as my mind is stayed on You. Jesus, give me Your peace—not the fragile peace the world gives, but the peace rooted in Your victory and presence. Guard my heart and mind as I make definite requests with thanksgiving.

Teach me to think on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy. Help me distinguish fact from fear, conviction from condemnation, wisdom from compulsion, and spiritual alertness from anxiety.

Strengthen my nervous system, restore healthy sleep, guide my breathing, appetite, focus, and daily rhythm. Lead me to qualified help when needed. Make me willing to receive counsel, therapy, medication, pastoral care, friendship, rest, and practical support without shame.

I will not be dismayed, for You are my God. You strengthen, help, and uphold me. I entrust the unknown to You. Jesus Christ is Lord over my mind, body, night, and future. Amen.
