Scripture foundation

Psalm 103:1-5 BSB

Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds— He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 107:19-21 BSB

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men.

Jeremiah 17:14 BSB

Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise.

Isaiah 53:3-6 BSB

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.

James 5:14-16 BSB

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail.

Proclamation

Father, I come to You through Jesus Christ. You are holy, faithful, compassionate, and mighty to save. I bless Your name and remember Your benefits. You forgive iniquity, heal disease, redeem life from destruction, crown with lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfy with good things, and renew strength.

Lord Jesus, You bore sin in Your body on the tree. You were wounded for transgressions and bruised for iniquities. The chastisement of peace was upon You. You carried griefs and sorrows, and You are the compassionate High Priest who understands weakness.

I bring You my actual condition: every symptom, diagnosis, injury, wound, limitation, fear, question, and need. I will not hide the facts from You, and I will not make the facts my god. You are greater than what I see, feel, or understand.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise. Send Your Word and bring deliverance. Restore health. Bind wounds. Give wisdom to every physician, nurse, therapist, counselor, caregiver, pastor, family member, and friend involved in my care. Expose error, prevent harm, guide decisions, and open the right doors.

Holy Spirit, You raised Jesus from the dead and dwell in believers. Quicken my mortal body according to the Father’s will. Strengthen what is weak. Bring order where there is disorder, peace where there is agitation, rest where there is exhaustion, and hope where discouragement has settled.

Show me any faithful action I must take. Give me humility to receive help, discipline to follow sound guidance, courage to ask questions, and freedom from shame. I reject the lie that receiving care is unbelief. My body belongs to You; teach me to honor You with it.

I forgive those who have wounded, neglected, misunderstood, or failed me. I release them to Your justice and mercy. Cleanse my heart from bitterness. Where I have sinned, I confess it and receive the cleansing of Jesus. Where accusation is false, silence it with the truth of the gospel.

I ask boldly for healing, and I submit humbly to Your perfect wisdom. Sustain me while I wait. Let Christ’s strength be made perfect in weakness. Let no delay become condemnation. Let no improvement become pride. Let every testimony glorify Jesus.

Whether Your work appears suddenly, progressively, through ordinary means, through extraordinary intervention, or is finally completed in resurrection, keep me faithful. I believe You hear me. I trust Your love. I receive Your peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
