A father of the fatherless and a defender of widows is God in His holy habitation. God settles the lonely in families; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.

Proclamation

God sees every person entrusted to this household. I receive wisdom and provision for food, housing, education, care, transport, supervision, safety, rest, and trustworthy support.

Responsibilities become clear among relatives, church, professionals, agencies, and community. Vulnerable people are protected from neglect, fraud, abuse, and isolation.

God increases our capacity without crushing one person beneath the whole burden. We bear one another's burdens, communicate truthfully, and receive help humbly.

Prayer

Father, provide for every person entrusted to this household. Supply food, housing, education, care, transport, supervision, safety, rest, and trustworthy support. Protect vulnerable people from neglect, fraud, abuse, and isolation, and teach us to receive help humbly. In Jesus' name, amen.

Faithful next actions

  • List each dependent's immediate safety, food, housing, health, transport, supervision, and support needs.
  • Clarify who is responsible for each next action and contact appropriate family, church, clinical, school, legal, benefits, respite, or community resources.
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or imminent danger through the appropriate safeguarding or emergency channel.

Use with wisdom

  • Prayer must not conceal abuse, neglect, exploitation, caregiver collapse, or danger; use appropriate safeguarding, professional, and emergency channels.
  • Family responsibility includes receiving legitimate help rather than forcing one person to carry every burden alone.
